Summary

Boston is my home, and I have a huge inventory of photographs showing its attractions, events, and people. Boston area greenspace is one of my specialties - from  urban parks to the tiny woodland reserves so popular with our family hikers. All-season coverage of the tourist attractions and the Freedom Trail including the Old North Church and Old Ironsides. The Charles River and the Waterfront. Hospitals, institutions, schools, and architecture. Neighborhoods. FirstNight, the 4th of July, St Patrick's Day in Southie. I have drawn from this inventory to illustrate a book and articles for magazines and tour guides.

Outside the city, my first love is the gently-rolling New England countryside, with its lighthouses, harbors and coves, farms and villages, old mills and covered bridges, mountains, valleys, and rivers. I portray broad landscapes and close views, quiet moments and country fairs, balloon festivals and country churches.

In my travels, I capture the intimate details of the land and its people. I can show you the beauty of the vast American landscape in all its aspects, from life in our cities to wildlife in our national parks; from the intimate scope of a wetland at sunrise to the wide-open tundra of Alaska.  My stock of Yosemite includes all season shots showing the magnificent geological formations, flora and fauna in the valley, and high country places. I have the Wyoming Rockies in winter, Maine on a lazy afternoon, and spring blossoms in the Sonoran Desert. I can show you wildflower meadows in summer, frosted sequoias in winter, moose migrating from the Denali high country in autumn. Faces of Christmas shoppers. Footprints of caribou. Flocks of migrating snow geese. A fallen leaf.

Education

Majored in art at University of New Hampshire. Studied photography at the New England School of Photography in Boston and in master classes at the Maine Photographic Workshops.
